Steph Curry Signs $62.6 Million Extension with Golden State Warriors
Steph Curry has inked a one-year contract extension with the Golden State Warriors, ensuring he’ll stay with the team through the 2026-27 season. The deal, announced on Thursday, is reportedly worth $62.6 million.
This extension adds to Curry’s already impressive earnings, bringing his guaranteed income to around $178 million over the next three seasons. By the end of this contract, Curry will have raked in a staggering $532 million from his NBA career, making him the second-highest earner in league history, just behind LeBron James.
At 36, Curry is coming off a standout summer. He played a crucial role in Team USA’s gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics, delivering a game-changing performance in the final against France.
Curry, the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers, has spent his entire 15-season career with the Warriors. He’s a two-time MVP, having won the award unanimously in 2016, and has led the team to four championships, with his latest Finals MVP award coming in 2022.
Despite his success, last season ended on a sour note with Golden State missing the playoffs after a disappointing showing in the Play-In tournament. With Klay Thompson departing in free agency, the Warriors are entering a new chapter.
Curry will continue to team up with Draymond Green, while the Warriors look to build around emerging talents like Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and Trayce Jackson-Davis.
